Manasota Key is an 11-mile stretch between Charlotte and Sarasota County, including Englewood Beach, Manasota Beach and Caspersen Beach. The narrow, scenic road that takes you from one end of the key to the other brings you past beautiful island homes, many of which have their back yard on the bay and their front yard on the Gulf. At the south end of the key you can find a more developed area including a few condos, restaurants and shops. At the southern tip you will find Stump Pass Beach State Park. Stump Pass is a channel that connects Lemon Bay to the Gulf of Mexico.
If you're looking for a quiet beach town, this may be the place for you! Manasota Key has no big resorts or hotels, and no multi-story condominiums - just lots of beach houses tucked behind the greenery. Some on the Gulf, some on the bay, and many that span the width of the island. Talk about great views!
